Minot gives warm reception to farmers markets

Michael W. Sasser/MDN In its 11th season, the North Prairie Farmers Market remains a popular summer attraction in downtown Minot. On Saturday afternoon patrons purchased locally made ice cream, handmade pottery and a variety of produce. The North Prairie Farmers Market is open Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and is located at the corner of Third Avenue SW and First Street SW in Minot.
Michael W. Sasser/MDN Patrons provided a warm welcome to the Minot Farmers Market debut at Maysa Arena on Saturday morning to afternoon. Dozens of vendors sold popular produce including carrots, mushrooms, beets and potatoes along with a variety of breads, jams and homemade salsa. The Minot Farmers Market will be at Oak Park, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m.-noon and Maysa Arena, Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon.
