JAMESTOWN – Area Angus owners were winners at the 2017 North Dakota Junior Angus Association Field Day held in Jamestown June 3.

S A V Polly 6539 owned by Fletcher Hennessy of Des Lacs won grand champion female at the field day.

Reserve grand champion female went to 7/S Queen 1816 owned by Madison Sundsbak of Des Lacs.

Receiving top honors in their division showmanship at the field day were Cally Hansen, peewee champion, and Molly Hanson, junior champion, both of Carrington; Peyton Sundsbak, intermediate champion, and Madison Sundsbak, senior champion, both of Des Lacs.

Weston Geppert of Mitchell, S.D., evaluated the entries before naming champions.

Fletcher Hennessy also is a new junior member of the American Angus Association. The association’s headquarters are in St. Joseph, Mo. Junior members are eligible to register cattle in the American Angus Association, participate in programs conducted by the National Junior Angus Association and take part in Association-sponsored shows and other national and regional events.
