Minot to host a series of spring festivals

Between March 24 and April 30, Minot area residents can anticipate a wealth of spring festivals.

During this span, the Magic City is offering a wide range of festivities that appeal to various audiences.

Quilters, jewelry collectors and cosplay connoisseurs will have the unique opportunity to meet national celebrities and gain insight from industry experts while enjoying the presence of likeminded enthusiasts.

To celebrate the warmth of spring, the Minot Prairie Quilt Guild is hosting its 24th annual Quilt Festival, Friday, March 24-Sunday, March 26, at the Grand Hotel in Minot.

Visitors can explore vibrant artistry along with the exquisite stories interwoven by Minot area quilters.

Submitted Photo Over 70 vendors will provide a plethora of practical and extraordinary items at the Junk Jam Trade & Vendor Spring Festival, Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Riverside in Minot.

In addition to viewing awe-inspiring creations, quilters can learn valuable skills from Susan K. Cleveland, a celebrated designer, author, teacher and inventor.

Quilters will also gain insight from Laura Wasilowski, an accomplished author, textile artist and creator.

Along with studying from nationally acclaimed experts, audiences are invited to experience the sensational talent of Pam Abrahamson, the 2017 featured quilter.

Saturday, April 8, over 70 vendors will provide a plethora of practical and extraordinary items.

From 10 a.m.-5 p.m., at the Holiday Inn Riverside, shoppers can strike a deal or purchase a wide range of accessories, jewelry and handbags while enjoying live music spun by a DJ.

Food, door prizes and interactive games will be available throughout the festival.
