Little Black Dress Campaign to benefit women

Women United, an affinity group of the Souris Valley United Way, has announced their second annual Little Black Dress Campaign event.

During the week of Feb. 20, area women will be wearing a black dress or outfit for five consecutive days and collecting funds to help local women. Event proceeds will be distributed through a granting process after the campaign to qualifying programs and organizations.

An online fundraising platform has been created at www.svunitedway.com/little-black-dress-campaign and provides family, friends, and the community the opportunity to support these women’s efforts to showcase the struggles local women are facing every day.

A kick-off breakfast for participants will be at 7:30 a.m. Monday at the Grand Hotel.

A Celebration Event will be held at 4 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Taube Museum of Art. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at www.svunitedway.com/little-black-dress-campaign
