Students nominated to military service

Rep. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., nominated two Devils Lake students to U.S. military service academies and Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D. nominated a Minot student to a military service academy.

Cramer nominated Jace Estenson to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and Ryyan Reule to the U.S. Air Force Academy. Both are students at Devils Lake High School. Hoeven nominated Elijah Stewart, a student at Bishop Ryan Catholic School in Minot, to the U.S. Naval Academy.

Students must be nominated to an academy by a member of Congress, the vice president of the United States or a service branch secretary. Final appointment decisions are made by the individual academies.

Those interested in applying for 2018 admission to a military service academy can find more information on Cramer’s official website, or by calling Randy Richards in the Grand Forks office at 701-738-4880.  People interested in seeking Hoeven’s nomination next year can find more information on Ho
