Minot and area closures due to the storm

–Sanford Health Clinics –All Sanford Health Minot Clinics will close at 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 5.

— State offices close due to weather conditions— BISMARCK – Due to deteriorating weather and road conditions, state offices in Bismarck closed at 3 p.m. today. At this time, normal business hours are expected for Tuesday, March 6. If a closure or delayed opening is required Tuesday, an announcement will be sent to all employees. Today’s weather-related closures of Bismarck state agency offices included the North Dakota Department of Human Services’ West Central Human Service Center, which provides direct behavioral health services to individuals from the Bismarck region. The center’s 24-hour client crisis line remains available at (701) 328-8899 or toll-free at 888-328-2112.

–City of Minot: Due to the weather, the City buses will end service today at 5 p.m. and the Minot Public Library will close at 5:30 p.m.

City Council is still on as scheduled.

The Minot International Airport will remain open despite all commercial flights being cancelled. The Airport remains open in case conditions improve and aircraft to land if needed.

–Dakota Square Mall will close at 3 p.m. today, Monday, March 5. The theater, restaurants and stores with exterior entrances may have varying hours.

–The Region 6 Boys Basketball games in Minot have been postponed for tonight. The tournament will now begin tomorrow and continue with semifinals and finals nights on Thursday and Friday, respectively. Tuesday and Thursday games will be played as scheduled at the Minot State University Dome, but Friday night’s games will be moved to the Minot Auditorium.

— North Prairie and North Central Regional Water District Annual Meeting at Holiday Inn Riverside scheduled for today has been postponed to Monday, March 12 at the same time in the Mediterranean and Lonian room.

—Lake Region Human Service Center in Devils Lake and its satellite office in Rolla closed today; regional child support office in Devils Lake also closed today. The Lake Region Human Service Center operates a 24-hour behavioral health crisis lines. People can reach the center by calling 701-662-5050, collect calls accepted, or toll-free at 888-607-8610. Child support customers can conduct normal business on the secure website at www.childsupportnd.com. The department hopes to resume normal business hours at its offices tomorrow.

— Williston State College – With Williston and surrounding areas currently under a “no travel advisory” and a winter storm warning in effect for the region extending into Monday, classes will be canceled and the Williston State College campus will be closed on Monday March 5, for the safety of students, faculty, and staff members. Students and staff members are encouraged to stay at home and limit travel while current road conditions persist.

— The North Dakota Public Service Commission (PSC) public hearing for the Cherry Creek Pipeline Conversion project that was scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday, March 6) has been postponed due to the winter storm occurring. The hearing was scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Central at the Ernie French Center in Williston. The hearing will be rescheduled and public notices and news announcements will be sent out with the rescheduled date.

–Minot Public Schools: Monday, March 5, 2018 – There will be no school on Minot Air Force Base and no busing for base students to Minot High School.

–All Minot State classes at the Minot Air Force Base are cancelled today.
