Sibling Americana duo to take the stage

Twin Kennedy to perform at Ann Nicole Nelson Hall Sunday

Twin sisters Carli and Julie Kennedy will travel from Canada to be a part of the International Artist Series of Minot and Live on Stage Inc. The Sibling Americana Duo, known as Twin Kennedy, will perform on Sunday at Ann Nicole Nelson Hall, starting at 3 p.m.

The Kennedy sisters have been making music together since they could talk. They’ve trained for years in the classical field and each has earned a bachelor degree in music performance from the University of Victoria.

Twin Kennedy is known for their sibling harmonies, high energy show and heartfelt songwriting. With years of experience, they’ve found their home in country music. Carli Kennedy performs guitar and vocals while Julie does fiddle and vocals. Together they put on a show that has won them many awards.

“These two girls are absolutely, 100 percent made for the stage and made to entertain,” said Holly Tong of the Nashville Music Examiner.

Twin Kennedy has has been a Canadian Country Music Award Nominee twice, a winner of two VIMA Awards, a BCCMA nominee for Roots/Canadiana Group of the Year and a Grand Prize Winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

Tickets for the concert cost $30 per adult and $15 per student and can be purchased at the door, by calling 838-1113, or at International Artists Series website: www.minotconcerts.org.

Doors will open 30 minutes in advance with no reserved seating.
