Put on your detective hats

Eventures holds Holiday-themed mystery event

Get your family together, put on your detective hats and get ready for mystery mixed with some holiday cheer at Eventures’ Holiday Family Mystery Party on Saturday.

This non-murder based mystery event is fun for all ages as members of Santa’s workshop in the North Pole get together for a final meeting before the big day. Everything has been busy and few have started to notice the strange things taking place. The big question is, will the meeting go on without a hitch or will unexpected drama cause disaster?

Everyone who goes will be given a character, a card and a costume. Together everyone must solve the mystery taking place in the North Pole. Anyone above the age of 8 years old can be a character with those younger being little helpers.

“Guests will be given a clue card that has special lines, actions and instructions to talk to specific people,” explained Stephanie Chell. “It will be like spending a lot of time playing a life-size game of ‘Clue’ in a way.”

The mystery event will be hosted in three different time slots on Saturday. One will be at 10 a.m., another at 1 p.m. and the final game will be at 6 p.m. Each will take a few hours to get through.

“Each set can hold 16 people each. We are selling tickets early, but they don’t need to buy them early,” said Chell.

As long as there is space, people are able to just arrive and pay to play.

Along with the mystery story, guests will get to enjoy a hot chocolate bar, treats and other little games for the family to play.

“It’s a great opportunity for the family to do something different for the holiday season,” Chell said.

Tickets cost $15 for anyone who is a character (8 years and up), $10 for those 3 years old to 7 years old and 2 years and younger are free.
