Replacements to perform at the Sibyl Center

An area group, the Replacements, are scheduled to perform at the Sibyl Center in Stanley Sunday at 3 p.m.

The Replacements are a welcome sight to area audiences with upbeat hearts and personalities. This group performs a large variety of music including ’50s and ’60s music, country, country gospel, dance music and, when in season, Christmas music.

The group consists of seven members. Ardis Loock sings in high soprano, Marlene Grabow performs in soprano/alto, Jim Mayfield is the bass singer, and Jerry Martin as the tenor. Karen Rath performs vocals and keyboard, Floyd Borud is lead guitar and high tenor, and the group is rounded out with Ed Volk on bass guitar.

The Replacements have performed in the surrounding areas at the Frozen Fingers Festival, local churches and for other programs. This cheerful group likes to spread the happiness and fun they have while performing and their goal is to put a smile on everyone’s face.
