First ever Peddlers Market to take place

Tomorrow, vendors from around the area will be heading to The Spot Pool Hall for a new market to purchase handmade merchandise.

The Peddlers Market, created by Engage Marketing and The Spot Pool Hall, will begin at 10 a.m. and give shoppers until 4 p.m. to make it down to peruse and purchase from their variety of vendors. While vendor shows are growing in popularity, Sherry McGlaughlin of The Spot wanted to bring a show that is 100 percent handmade.

“Most vendor shows offered in the community are similar in offerings, so we really wanted to come together and create a unique experience that showcases local artisans and crafters,” said Kristen Haverluck of Engage Marketing.

The Spot will be opening up to all ages for the duration of the market and will even host a beer garden and a fundraiser. Market attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishables with them to donate to Minot’s Salvation Army food pantry.

“We will also be offering ‘Mimosas for a Cause’,” said Haverluck. “A suggested donation will be asked for the mimosas and those proceeds will be added to our donation from the vendor booth fees to benefit Minot’s Salvation Army food pantry.”

Vendors at the show will be selling things such as reclaimed furniture, home decor, jewelry, bathbombs, homemade pickles and salsa, flowers, baby items, and so much more. Vendors include A Dash of Fizz, Blue Buffalo Designs, Dorkfish, Darling Meets Dapper, and more.

Along with the handmade vendors, they will be bringing in two local food vendors.

“We have Minot’s only hot dog food cart on site, Fun on a Bun, and the Shack-Hawaiian Shaved Ice available,” Haverluck explained.

With the fair taking place around the same time, they will be ready to invite those in after the fun for some cooling off and shopping.
