Dierks Bentley taking the stage tonight at NDSF

The North Dakota State Fair is winding down and so are the performers, but that doesn’t mean the final two on the roster won’t bring the energy, talent, and music to the Grandstand on these final two days. Taking over the stage tonight at 8 p.m. will be Dierks Bentley.

A critically-acclaimed performer, this songwriter has been working hard in his country sound career for 11 years. Now coming to Minot as the final act of the country singer lineup, Bentley will be bringing his own unique sound and spin on the genre.

Continuing the high point that his 2014 album, Riser, produced, he has created yet another album that is expected to bring in the Grammy, ACM, and CMA award nominations. “Black” debuted as number two in May. Described as a “dark, mysterious, after-hours kind of record,” his performance of it and other songs at his concert are likely to get fans moving and having a good time.

As the final act on the Grandstand Showpass, any purchaser should get their money’s worth out to this performance.

Bentley won’t be performing alone, either. As his opening act, he has brought with him Travis Denning. Denning has been working hard to kick off his career, starting at 16 with performances at local bars. His sound is described as distinctive and raucous, hitting the stage hard and ready to perform.
