MASK has opened registration for spring classes

Make A Scene Kids Theater has opened registration for their many spring classes for anyone from pre-k to high school.

The spring season will begin on March 25 and run through May 5 with classes beginning and ending in that time frame. With a large variety of classes being offered, there is likely something for everyone.

The first class offered begins on March 29 is called “The Play’s the Thing.” The class will be taught for six weeks every Thursday. With two different classes there will be one at 4:30 p.m for those in fifth to eighth grade and 5:45 p.m. for ninth through twelfth-graders.

Four classes will begin on April 3. For Pre-K and Kindergarteners, “Spring Fever” will allow the kids involved to explore creative ways to play, exploring kite flying, puddle jumping, gardening, and more. It will run Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

“Choose Your Own Adventure” will be for first and second-graders. According to MASK’s site, this class will allow children to be the creators of their own story, determining the outcomes and adventures. It will run at 5:15 p.m. every Tuesday.

The “Get Funky” class will have two different classes, one for third through fifth-graders and one for sixth through eighth-graders, starting at 4:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. on Tuesdays. The class is intended to help kids get moving and feel more comfortable with choreography on stage.

For those aged 10 to 16 years old, April 4 will bring a class called “Rock Band” for them. Taught Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m., the class will focus on allowing kids to write their own music and work with an instrument or an online program to create the music.

On April 5, “Character Creation with Puppets” will start. Every Thursday at 4:30 p.m., third through fifth-graders will have the opportunity to explore, act out, and develop characters with puppets.

The final classes being offered will start on April 8 and offer a variety of different lessons through the weeks. “I Want to Act/Design” will teach the fundamentals of acting, musical theatre, improv, and costume design. Each is a separate class that costs $10, but those interested can easily sign up for all four. They will be on Sundays with the classes for third through fifth-graders starting at 4 p.m. and the classes for sixth through eighth-graders starting at 5:15 p.m.

All the offered classes range in pricing from $10 to $175. To see all the pricing and the exact run dates, go to
