Women’s Invitational Exhibit opens 2018 season at the Taube
The 2018 Exhibition Season at the Taube Museum of Art will feature a Full Gallery exhibition and a Women’s Invitational Exhibition featuring 19 local and regional women artists displaying a diverse range of mediums.
The exhibition opened Jan. 9 and runs through Feb. 16.
The women in this exhibit range in age and life experiences as does their art involvement. It was on that basis they were invited to participate. There are working and retired art educators, established practicing and emerging artists represented in the exhibition. Collectively their work displays a uniquely feminine perspective in the shared environment of the museum setting.
An artist reception, which is free and open to the public, will be held Thursday from 5:30-7 p.m. Hors d’ouevres and wine will be served.
Museum and Gift Shop hours: Tuesday through Friday 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by special appointment. There is no charge for admission, but contributions are accepted to help the Taube Museum fulfill their mission of enriching lives through the visual arts. The exhibition is made possible with support from the North Dakota Council on the Arts.
