Mouse River Players opens second play of the season
A Christmas Carol is to be performed by the Mouse River Players starting today. The play will run today and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
The weekend of Nov. 24, it will run Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday. The play will be performed at the Mouse River Players theater at 115 1st Street SE.
The play, A Christmas Carol, is a theater adaptation of Charles Dickens classic of the same name. The play follows the adventures of Ebenezer Scrooge as he is visited by the ghost of his late business partner, Jacob Marley. Marley warns that Scrooge will be visited by three ghosts who will give him an opportunity to change or face the same fate as Marley has. The specific adaptation that the players will be putting on was done by Kevin Neuharth, who has spent a long time with the Minot State University Summer Theater.
The Mouse River Players hope this will be a good way for those who attend to get into the Christmas spirit as they sit back and enjoy the play.
Tickets can be purchased ahead of the performance or at the door. Adult tickets cost $15 and children through 12 years cost $10. For seniors who are 60 or older, military, and students from 13 years old through college, the tickets cost $13.
