Halloween adventure at Audubon NWR

Families are invited for an evening of fun on the Audubon National Wildlife Refuge Saturday, Oct. 21. The free 2017 Halloween adventure will be held open house style – come and go as you wish – between 5:30 and 8 p.m. Kids are invited to come in costume. Cameras are encouraged. A photo shoot area will be set up.

Kids can trick or treat along the refuge nature trail and enjoy a light snack in the visitor center. Families are invited to take a tram or hayride through the auto tour route beginning at 5:45 p.m., browse through the wildlife exhibits, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the waterfowl migration.

This free event is sponsored by Audubon Refuge Partners Inc. and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. For more information, call 442-5474.
