Staff changes at The Village
The Village Family Service Center has hired Chasity Davidson as an in-home family therapist in Minot, and promoted Mallary Schaefer to Minot regional program supervisor.
As an in-home family therapist, Davidson provides therapy to children and families in their homes using a variety of therapeutic techniques. She received her master of social work degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. She is a licensed clinical social worker. Her areas of specialty include domestic violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, anger, and trauma.
Schaefer received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from North Dakota State University, where she specialized in psychology, child development and family science, and couples and family therapy. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist. As regional program supervisor, Schaefer oversees day-to-day operations at the Minot location and supervises its staff. She also provides outpatient counseling in Devils Lake.
The Village has offices in 15 communities across North Dakota and Minnesota. Its programs and services include counseling, in-home family therapy, adoption services, pregnancy counseling, truancy financial counseling, employee assistance programs, and business training.
