Credit union has new board member, re-elected officers

Jeff Stremick of Minot has been elected to serve a three-year term on the Town and Country Credit Union board of directors. As a credit union, Town and Country is owned by its members and governed by a committed group of volunteers who serve on the board of directors.

Stremick is new to the board and is a local real estate broker. He owned and operated several businesses in Minot prior to becoming a part-owner of Signal Realtors in 2011.

The board of directors also selected its executive officers for the coming year. DelRae Zimmerman of Minot was named chairwoman. Zimmerman is one of the owners and current president of Brokers 12 Real Estate and markets herself and her team as “Team Rockstars.” She was elected to the board in 2017.

Ray Kopp of Minot was renamed as the board vice chairman. Kopp operates a farm on the homestead where he was born and raised and has served on the board of directors since 2004.

Jim Anderson of Kenmare was also named as the board secretary /treasurer. Anderson has been farming since 1978 and is the secretary/manager of the Flaxton Farmers Mutual Insurance Co., a property-casualty insurance company. He joined the board of directors in 2011 filling the board seat designated for a Kenmare member.
