Høstfest entertainers give back to the community
On Monday, Rinat Mouzafarov Institute of Dance & Ballet Theater’s dancers performed for the Trinity Homes.
Many of those staying at the home used to volunteer for the Norsk Høstfest and the home wanted to give them a chance to still enjoy it. Throughout the week, performers and entertainment from Høstfest will also visit Trinity Homes to enjoy activities with residents.
Some of Monday’s guests were the dancers. They performed the dances that they will be doing at the Høstfest, a total of six pieces. Two of the dances are brand new this year just for the festival. They worked with the Høstfest to create something new that Mouzafarav worked to choreograph.
“It is very important to give back to the community and we are honored to dance for these residents every year,” Mouzafarov said about the performance.
The two new dances, The Lutefisk dance and the Dala Horse dance, will appear alongside many previous favorites, like the Ski Fantasy.
The dancers range from ages 3 to adult and from beginner to advanced. All are involved and get to perform. They will dance at 4:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. each day at in the mezzanine during Høstfest at North Dakota State Fair Center.
“The support of the Høstfest is awesome and we are very thankful to get to go back each year,” Mouzaforav said.
