MSO makes Christmas Magic
The Minot Symphony Orchestra will be performing ‘Holiday Pops’
Folk-inspired opera accompanied by magnificent ensembles of English, Russian and American holiday classics will bring joy to audiences as the Minot Symphony Orchestra performs “Holiday Pops” Saturday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Concert-goers are invited to enjoy the dynamic “Snow Maiden” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, feel the spirited energy of Frederick Delius’s ‘Sleigh Ride’ and experience the majestic harmony of Leopold Stokowski’s “Traditional Slavic Christmas Music.”
Joining the MSO will be the masterful choirs of Minot High School and Minot State University.
Stirring renditions of Ralph Vaughan Williams’s “Fantasia of Christmas Carols” along with Benjamin Harlan’s “Christmas Canticles” provides spectacular vocals and a feeling of holiday excitement.
